A Reminder
Luke 6:22: “Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man! Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets."
1 Peter 4:12-16: "Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name."
...because sometimes I need to be reminded.
Being a Christian isn't easy. It makes enemies..lots of them.
And while it hurts, having people reject you and butt heads with you because you're a Christian, is actually something that makes one "blessed."
A blessing that feels like a curse.
Good thing we don't walk by "feelings."
