Overwhelm

What do you do when you have too much to do, and not enough time to do it?

You start out the day on fire, kicking butt and taking names. Knock things off that to-do list like a champ. You got this.

But then, sleep deprivation sneaks up from behind.

At about 10AM it hamstrings you.

And everything all comes crashing down around your head.

You zone out. You get overwhelmed. All your mojo flies away, and you seek an escape.

It consumes your day. And once you've checked out, it's so very hard to check back in.

Your patience elopes with that mojo that took off, and joins it in going AWOL.

And you snap at your children in frustration.

And you write a blog post.  As though that will fix things.

But life goes on.  As it must.

Apologize.  Pick up the pieces left from all of your good intentions, and try to redeem what little time is still left in the day.

Repent.  Praise God He forgives, and trust in that forgiveness.

Go to church tomorrow, hear His Word, receive the Sacrament.

...and in the meantime, baking something nice for your poor family, who has to live with you, might be a nice gesture.
